In 2014, Beausejour montmartre has been selected in the world famous Michelin Guide as a Two Red Houses Hotel.
Michelin Guides are a series of annual guide books published by the French company Michelin for more than one hundred years. The term normally refers to the Michelin Red Guide, the oldest European hotel and restaurant reference guide, which awards Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. The acquisition or loss of a star can have dramatic effects on the success of a restaurant. Michelin also publishes a series of general guides to countries.
The Michelin guide was first published in France in 1900.
From a small, 400-page red guide that was distributed free to motorists and contained useful information on topics such as changing tires and maintaining vehicles, the Michelin guide has developed throughout the years to become the benchmark in gourmet dining. Today, it comprises more than 2,000 pages and covers a selection of nearly 8,500 establishments with the goal of making travel easier.
In the Michelin evaluation system, black houses are rewarding nice hotel and red houses are rewarding exceptional ones.
The houses number is given in accordance with hotel size.
Two red houses is the best award for a Four Stars Boutique hotel.
Michelin guide is as well known for rewarding the best restaurants and is an amazing tool to organize a great dinner in Paris, it is of cours available in the lobby at B Montmartre.
